Preparatory visit
25-27 June, 2024
Members of Borovje Primary School Erasmus+ team, teachers Željka Zagorac, Silvana Pešut Vitasović and Vlatka Gabud Deronjić, participated in the preparatory visit at IES Andalán school in Zaragoza, Spain, from June 25th to June 27th, 2024. This visit was organized as part of the Erasmus+ project and aimed to facilitate the successful planning and implementation of the upcoming student mobility program.

Purpose and Objectives
The main goal of the preparatory visit was to establish a strong partnership between the Croatian and Spanish schools, ensuring a well-structured and enriching experience for participating students. The visit focused on:
- Strengthening collaboration with the host school, IES Andalán.
- Discussing and finalizing the details of the group mobility program.
- Aligning educational and logistical aspects of the exchange.
- Gaining insights into the Spanish educational system and cultural environment.
Activities Conducted
Throughout the visit, various activities were organized to support the project’s objectives:
- Meetings with Erasmus+ coordinator Pilar Casamián to define the framework for the exchange.
- A school tour, providing an opportunity to observe classrooms, facilities, and teaching methodologies.
- Mobility planning sessions, where both teams worked on schedules, accommodation, and student activities.
- Cultural visits to key landmarks in Zaragoza, including the Basilica del Pilar, Roman Heritage sites, Renaissance Palaces, and Aljafería Palace.
Outcomes and Learnings
The preparatory visit led to several important achievements:
- Strengthened collaboration and direct communication between Croatian and Spanish institutions.
- A well-defined plan for student mobility, including schedules and activity outlines.
